30 Years of Pain
Having put up with lower back pain and knee problems for over thirty years I decided to attend Align's Back Awareness Course held in conjunction with Impulse Leisure.
I found this extremely informative as Mike explained everything in everyday terms. It was also a good learning curve hearing other people's problems and how they cope with everyday life. I then decided to book an initial appointment with Mike during which he took a few x-rays to identify the problem areas.
Having just completed a course of adjustments and combined with daily exercises I am at long last free of pain. I cannot be more delighted with the outcome and fully intend to have maintenance appointments to keep me in good working order.

New lease of life
I'm 29 and thought I would be wheel chair bound by the time I was 35, as sometimes my knees where so painful I really couldn't walk! Thank the lord for Mike!
I have been visiting him at Align for about 5 months and immediately he identified why I was having such trouble. We have been working on the problem and since then I have danced in my highest shoes, climbed hills and worked out in the gym.
I had been to the doctors and hospital regarding this complaint continually for the last 5 years and I had been pumped full of painkillers, and the idea of having knee replacements!!!!!! It's like I have a new me! As a wedding photographer I am relieved in the thought that I will be able to do my job for years to come.

How I avoided having carpal tunnel surgery
After having given birth to my son last October, I started to experience pins and needles in my hands and an aching feeling from the elbow down.
The strength in my wrists seemed to have diminished, making simple tasks like turning the taps on or off, and driving extremely painful. My sleep was also being broken at least 10-15 times a night due to the pins and needles sensation.
I went to my GP who referred me to a hand specialist. After waiting about three months for an appointment, the specialist assessed me and straight away said I had carpal tunnel syndrome. He sent me away with two hand splints to wear at night for ten weeks. These didn't seem to help and ten weeks later I went back for more advice. He then referred me for surgical intervention.
On recommendation from a friend I made an appointment, where I was assessed by Dr Michael Cassidy-Hogg. I was able to tell him about all my aches and pains including my imminent carpal tunnel operation.
I have attended Dr Mike's clinic for a few sessions now, and after just a couple of visits the pins and needles in my left hand have totally disappeared, and have been greatly alleviated on the right.
Thanks to Dr Mike, I've not had to undergo surgery.

Shoulder and neck pain
I suffered for about 10 years with two frozen shoulders and I was told they were diabetic frozen shoulders, as I have diabetes. I had no trauma or accident beforehand to explain why this had happened. Over the years I have had physiotherapy, cortisone injections and even acupuncture, but nothing really helped. I began suffering with very bad neck pain too and being unable to function normally on a day-to-day basis. It was a depressing existence.
I decided to look into chiropractic care and see if that could help me. I arranged an appointment for an initial consultation with Dr Mike Cassidy-Hogg. At that consultation, some X-rays were taken and it showed that I had osteoarthritis in my neck. The treatment and procedures were explained fully and clearly by him and I felt confident and trusting in his ability. I felt better after my first session!
I have now had 10 sessions, which was recommended by him initially and I am very pleased with the results so far. The neck manipulation has probably been the most successful as the mobility has greatly improved and feels like a huge knot has been untied! It has made a huge difference to the way I am feeling now and I feel there have been definite results in curing my problem. The treatment overall has been excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Cassidy-Hogg to my family or friends."

Chiropractic for pregnancy
I had been seeing Michael for regular Chiropractic care before I got pregnant, so when I found out that I was expecting, it felt natural to keep on with the treatments. I had heard that pregnancy can really affect the back, and as I had made so much progress previously, I didn't want to undo all the good work.
I have found Chiropractic absolutely brilliant and a real life-line in keeping me healthy and pain-free during my pregnancy. It has not only helped my back keep healthy with all the extra weight and daily changes that the body goes throughwith pregnancy, but it has kept my immune system strong and energy levels as balanced as possible.
I am now 34 weeks and blooming! I shall be having Chiropractic up until the arrival and also afterwards, to keep me aligned. I will also be bringing the little one in to get checked by Michael to set us up for the best possible start in life.
